Disney Pixar BRAVE DVD #GIVEAWAY

This year Disney released its much anticipated film BRAVE. I love Disney movies but life isn't always happily ever after which they seem to always portray. I was hoping that this film would be different. It was! Brave is about a young girl Merida who fights traditions and follows her heart. She's rebellious and strong willed. She doesn't want to follow in her mother's ways of marriage & becoming a housewife. Merida would rather create her own destiny.

Synopsis
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late. -- (C) Disney
If you weren't able to catch it in theaters this summer, its now on DVD release. Its a great movie to have in your collections. Even though I don't have any daughters, my son loved this movie. He was impressed with Merida's archery skills and he loved her triplet brothers. The movie is fun for all!

Zumba Core Fitness Challenge Week 4

After last week's failure I was determined to finish up this last week with a bang. I have to say I did my best! I reminded myself each day my goal for this journey. It's too motivate myself and my family to start working out. I started out on Weight Watchers prior to the summer and I was doing so well on it. Then I somehow fell off track and its been horrible. With this its brought back the feeling that I had when I started losing weight. A feeling of accomplishment.

Outcome
What  I loved the most about this challenge is that I saw how unhealthy I have become. I am definitely out of shape but I realize that working out can be fun. Zumba Fitness Core is a fun way of becoming healthy. I won't say that it helps you entirely lose weight, but it will help you create a routine for you and give you an energy that is needed if you're a couch potato like me.

Zumba Fitness Core is available for purchase at Amazon and your local retailers. Try it out for yourself if you're looking to start a workout regime. This will give you the motivation to a better you.

Bratz Boutique Doll & Nintendo 3DS #GIVEAWAY

Who doesn't love dolls? Growing up I was a HUGE Barbie fan. I had to have every doll that came out. I remember my mom taking me to the department store, Gimbels to let me buy a doll. I had a bag to carry them all. I loved them until I got a little older & starting demonstrating my skills as a hair stylist. LOL Thankfully I had a career change along the way.

Kidtoons Presents: Barbie Princess & the Pop Star

As you know by now, we're big fans of the Kidtoon programs at the National Amusement theaters. They are affordable family friendly matinee films. I am sad to say that this month's feature Barbie Princess & the Pop Star will be their last. Over the last 9 years they have entertained families nationwide with Thomas the Tank, Curious George, Barbie, The Care Bears and much more. We are very upset to see them end but look forward to their new kid programs will launch in the future (end of 2013 or 2014). Until then, thank you Kidtoons for giving families the opportunities to take their children to the movies at an affordable price. We will miss you!
