Kidtoons Presents: Barbie Princess & the Pop Star

As you know by now, we're big fans of the Kidtoon programs at the National Amusement theaters. They are affordable family friendly matinee films. I am sad to say that this month's feature Barbie Princess & the Pop Star will be their last. Over the last 9 years they have entertained families nationwide with Thomas the Tank, Curious George, Barbie, The Care Bears and much more. We are very upset to see them end but look forward to their new kid programs will launch in the future (end of 2013 or 2014). Until then, thank you Kidtoons for giving families the opportunities to take their children to the movies at an affordable price. We will miss you!

This month Kidtoons presents Barbie Princess & the Pop Star

Synopsis

In this sparkling musical adventure, Barbie™ stars as Tori™, the kind-hearted princess of Meribella who would rather sing and dance than perform her royal duties. When her favorite pop star Keira™ visits the kingdom, the girls discover they have much in common, including a magical secret that lets them look like one another. At first, swapping places seems like a great idea, until each girl realizes that the other’s life isn’t as easy as it seems! But Meribella also has a magical secret, and when it’s stolen, the whole kingdom is put in danger. Will true friendship save the day? Filled with fantastic songs, fabulous fashions, and fun new friends, it’s an exciting musical celebration that shows the best thing you can be is yourself.

Welcome to Lazy Town Giveaway

Well you know how much I love the KidToons program at the movie theaters. They are affordable, kid friendly matinee films that are held every 2nd weekend of the month. With the $3.50 price, who can beat that? Coming to theaters in November, its Welcome to Lazy Town!

Synopsis:
In “Welcome to LazyTown,” the inquisitive, adventurous and playful Stephanie comes to live in LazyTown and meets a zany mix of townspeople, including the world’s laziest super-villain, Robbie Rotten. Fortunately for Stephanie, LazyTown is also under the watchful eye of Sportacus, an athletic, super-fit, SuperHero, who runs, jumps, flips and flies to the rescue in his futuristic AirShip. Sportacus always manages to save the day and help the kids of LazyTown foil Robbie’s latest lazy schemes.

Kidtoons The Gruffalo Giveaway

A mouse is taking a stroll through the deep, dark wood when along comes a hungry fox, then an owl, and then a snake. Since the mouse “looks good” to all, he explains that he’s meeting the Gruffalo! I have been taking my son to the movies since he was 2 years old. He's never given me a problem in the theaters although he can be a chatty Cathy at times. There are so many children films that are released that we really enjoy going as a family. One of the films that we do try to take him to monthly are hosted by Kidtoons. Participating theaters have a monthly showing of G-Rated kid films that are affordable, character friendly & fun for the whole family. They are usually weekend matinee showings.
