One of my favorite movies this year is Les Miserables. I was amazed at the singing by some of my favorite actors. I never had the chance to see the play on Broadway. This is definitely a musical that is a must have to own.

Hugh Jackman for sure! His performance was incredible, because his singing and physical expression truly brought Jean Valjean to life. He sang honestly and something in his performance rang true. If the actor who played Valjean could really sing like a professional, it wouldn't be as good because Valjean has that trait of roughness around the edges that makes him such a compelling character. Jackman was pitch perfect.
I am sorry to say I have not gotten to see it--but I love Anne Hathaway

I watched the movie on the first showing on Christmas Day.
It was phenomenalspectacularheartbreakingcaptivatingsimplybeautiful.
I loved Samantha Barks even before the movie came out so seeing her on the big screen and seeing how she portrayed a minor yet amazing character was just amazing for me... I hope that she will continue to be in more movies i the future...
