Disney's PROM in theaters Friday April 29, 2011
At “Prom,” every couple has a story and no two are exactly alike. Several intersecting stories unfold at one high school as the big dance approaches; “Prom” portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite. For Nova Prescott (Aimee Teegarden), it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Fellow seniors Mei (Yin Chang) and Tyler (De’Vaughn Nixon) harbor secrets, while others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there’s only one “Prom.” Featuring an emerging ensemble cast and a powerful soundtrack, “Prom” hits theaters April 29, 2011.

snackTAXI Review & Giveaway CLOSED
We try to live green and I emphasize TRY. We recycle everyday and preserve our water usage. One thing we do use too frequently are plastic ziploc bags especially when I'm carrying around snacks for our son or myself to work. I have never found an alternative that was affordable and eco friendly. Browsing the internet one day, I came across snackTAXI. They looked so cute that I had to reach out to them to try their products out.
Not only are these sacks reusable, they are affordable and come in a variety of designs/colors. They have snack, sandwich and even produce size sacks. I was able to try a snack & sandwich set. I used the snack sack to carry strawberries and chips to work. They are machine washable. There were no stains or drips. They have a velcro closure and are sewn on the sides securely. This has become such a popular item at my office. Everyone can't believe its used to carry food. The sandwich sack is perfect for my son when he goes on school trips. I love that we can reuse these and we're help saving our landfills. They have a large selection of designs. I'm going to purchase the Dino Dudes snack sack for my son. At $6.95 its a bargain.
In celebration of Earth Day, snackTAXI has offered a set to one of our lucky followers.

Bausch + Lomb's Biotrue Review Tote bag & Coupon!
I wear eye glasses while I'm driving but I haven't reached the point where I need them constantly. However my husband has worn contacts daily since he was a teen. He wears them so often that his eyes get red and dry frequently. So when I was given the opportunity to review Bausch+Lomb Biotrue multi purpose solution, I knew my husband would be a perfect candidate. When he opened the package he loved the clear bottle design so you can see what's going into your eyes. He immediately noticed a difference in how his eyes felt after using the solution for a few days. He said they weren't as dry & uncomfortable as usual with the other solutions. His vision seemed clearer as well. I think we've found a new solution to hubby's dry eyes!

A Special Day
The main reason that I am who I am today is because of my Mom. She was a single parent raising 4 kids in Spanish Harlem. I am the youngest, 11 years younger than my oldest sibling to be exact and 9 from my sibling before me. So you can say that I was an "accident". She did the best she could on her own. We had a Catholic school education till high school. I remember going to Disney every year till I was in my teens, then going on trips to the Caribbean. My friends always envied me because I had an easy going mom. She trusted me enough to make the right decisions in life, but believe me if I messed up she let us have it.
This week she celebrated her 70th birthday. We had a surprise lunch for her today. Even though one of my siblings lives in Florida and couldn't be here to celebrate with us, my mom was happy. She's happiest when she's around her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. It was really a great day.
I want to thank you Mom. For always being there for me and my family. For allowing me to make mistakes & learn from them. For showing me what true, unconditional love is. For giving my son a loving environment & a grandmother he adores. Thank you for simply being the best.

We are so excited about our blog makeover! Since our launch, we've gotten such great response from followers and companies. We knew it was time to give our brand a new look. We owe it all to Alicia at DreamlikeMagic for her creativity and patience. She is excellent to work with, a true artist. We described what we were thinking, she created and we worked together to tweak it. All this is the final result! We absolutely love it! If you're looking to do a blog makeover, create a logo or business card design, head on over to DreamLikeMagic and contact Alicia. You won't be disappointed! Thank you so much Alicia!!

Hop Movie Review
If you're looking for a family friendly all time great movie to see with the kids during next week's Easter break, I suggest "hopping" along to the theater and catch HOP. This is just such a cute film with funnyman Russell Brand as the voice of EB. Its a tale of a bunny growing up to want to pursue his own dream rather than follow family traditions. Along the way he meets James Marsden who is a slacker with no ambition. When these two pair up, they form a friendship and race to save Easter from a coup d'etat of chicks.
I absolutely loved this film as did my son. Great job once again to Universal Pictures & Illumination Entertainmnet Happy Easter!

Ultimate Blog Party 2011
Welcome Ultimate Blog Party 2011 visitors! This is going to be a great week! Its our 1st time at this party so we're excited about all the new friends we will meet and the wonderful blogs we will read.
About BoyzRuleOurWorld
My name is Denise. I'm a married mom to Andre, 4 yrs old. Justine is my niece and co-author on this blog. She is a married mom to Julian 5 yrs old and Caden 9 months.
I've wanted to do a blog for a little over a year after working on a national mom's website as a discussion leader. It inspired me to write & talk about my passion, my son. I met some fantastic women along my journey as a DL that truly inspired me. I finally got the motivation and courage to launch this wonderful blog. I knew I didn't want to do it alone. So I knew Justine would be my perfect match at this. We're both happily married and our sons are cousins and the best of friends. I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else.
As its been a month since we started this, it has succeeded more than we knew in such a short time. We are excited about what our future holds and all the great opportunities we are receiving. The feedback has been welcoming. We look forward to sharing our journey with everyone as BoyzRuleOurWorld.
Lots of Love

Schwan's Home Delivery Review
Cooking is not my forte so when I won a prize from Mommyslinks for a family dinner I was beyond ecstatic!! I couldn't wait to heat up a meal for my family without having to actually cook.
I won a family meal by FRESCO by Scotto (Schwan's Home Delivery) It included a baked ziti, five cheese garlic french bread, MicroSteam baby broccoli florets and chocolate ice cream. My meal arrived in a Styrofoam cooler. Everything was still frozen and intact. This was going to be our Sunday night meal.
I pre-heated the oven at 375 degrees, placed the frozen baked ziti in the oven. After 30 minutes I removed the plastic layer completely & put it back in for 15 more minutes. At that point I put in the cheesy garlic bread as well. Fifteen minutes later we had our dinner.
The portion, I think, is perfect for 2 people. Luckily my son isn't a big pasta eater so he opted out but he did enjoy the bread. Hubby & I agreed that the ziti was tasty, and cheesy. The sauce wasn't sweet which I thought it would be. The pasta was cooked perfectly for it being frozen. He loved the bread. Right amount of cheese & garlic. The bread was soft & also didn't taste like a frozen food. The chocolate ice cream didn't taste as chocolaty as I would've liked it. It was very light in color. Since I'm a chocolate lover I would've preferred something richer.
All in all we had a great Sunday night dinner. Thank you Mommyslinks and Schwan's for feeding us!

Let's play ball!
With the spring season, comes the start of another sport. Another takeover of the tv in our home. Yet this year our boys are finally able to start playing in organized sports. Its exciting to me to get him in a uniform, make new friends, and cheer him on. The idea of it thrills me as a Mom.
All the parents were busy snapping pictures at precise moments. First time up at bat, first time running to base, or group photo. Then as the game began, my son was first at bat. He hits the ball off the tee, runs to third, while his hat flies of his head. He runs back to retrieve it then heads back to third base even though everyone is yelling "Go the other way!" Hysterical moment & happy that hubby was able to capture that on our video camera.
After the 2nd inning, my thrill was dying down as my back ached from standing. The dust blowing in our eyes. Then the kids start crying because they haven't caught the ball. Little by little, some of the kids run off the field to bury their tears in the parents including my son. "There's no crying in baseball" mimics in my head as I recall Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own. Is this what I will have to endure for the next 8 weeks? I don't know if I thought this whole sports thing through.
But the look of joy on my son's face as his game finished was priceless. He asked who won and we said it was a tie. He was happy with that. "I hit the ball a lot of times, Mom" he said. "Yes you did and you were great at it" I replied.
With that I will be back every Sunday for the next 8 weeks as the biggest cheerleader for the East Harlem Rays. Call me a soccer mom

Costume Super Center Review
One of my son's favorite holidays is Halloween. As a boy, all he ever wants to dress up as are super heroes. We've done Power Rangers and Iron Man so far. What he's really wanted to be was a Transformer. So when I was given the opportunity to review a costume I jumped at it! I requested a Transformers BumbleBee Deluxe Child costume immediately.
